Aqueduct is currently seeking a Senior Network Engineer for our client conveniently located in the Westborough, MA area for a 6+ month contractual engagement. The Network Engineer provides technical network infrastructure support and design to maintain a highly available network environment using routers, switches, and firewalls. The incumbent will design, install, maintain, test and debug complex network infrastructure hardware and software.The successful candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills and will be client focused, service driven, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. If you are an engineer who enjoys working with the latest Cisco technologies and other advanced solutions, then this position is for you!ResponsibilitiesProvide daily management and maintenance tasks for infrastructure environment consisting of Cisco routers, Cisco Firewalls, Cisco switches and Cisco wireless AP.Install, configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls across multiple locations.Monitor network traffic and related systems performance.Maintain a highly secure infrastructure, protecting sensitive corporate data from internal and external threatsTroubleshoot, resolve, update and maintain all documentation of network and server systems.Maintain disaster recovery procedures for data center servers and network systems.Maintain a highly secure infrastructure, protecting sensitive corporate data from internal and external threats.Maintain a solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts; understand principles of routing, client/server programming, and the design of consistent network-wide file system layouts.Respond to requests for assistance or information in a timely and professional manner.Provide support on projects and tasks to ensure successful completion.Monitor network traffic, related system performance and utilization.Perform incident, problem, and change ticket managementSupport technology utilizing reference architecture and industry best practicesRequired QualificationsCisco routers, Cisco Firewalls, Cisco switches and Cisco wireless AP.Senior knowledge EIGRP/BGP/OSPF routing concepts, IP/ARP/MAC/Spanning-tree issues and configurations, troubleshooting VLAN or physical connectivity for servers and other devices, troubleshooting Cisco access-list, NAT, VPN, VoIP, Cisco Wireless AP and Cisco Wireless LAN controllers and Cisco ISE.Firewall experience with Palo Alto strongly preferred.Ability to assess, document, and implement a high level of security across all segments of the IT infrastructureUnderstands potential impacts to processes and systems across organization and factors these into solutions.Excellent conceptualization, analytical, logic, and documentation skills
